The wellness brand supports youth athletes striving for excellence at home and abroad to elevate Japan's basketball culture.

IRVINE, Calif., June 25, 2025 Sun Chlorella is proud to sponsor the GLOBALLERS Project, a program shaping the future of Japanese basketball. Since its launch in 2020, the GLOBALLERS Project has focused on developing the next generation of elite Japanese basketball players by providing opportunities to train and compete both domestically and internationally.

Aspiring athletes from Kanto, Kansai, and Kyushu compete for a coveted spot on the GLOBALLERS roster. Top-performing players are selected to join the program's prestigious annual U.S. training camp tour, where they gain international experience and test their skills on a global stage. Once selected, Team GLOBALLERS embarks on a transformative journey to the U.S. to participate in high-level tournaments, visit local schools, and train with expert coaches - deepening both their skills and global perspective.

"We believe in young athletes who dream beyond borders. We're honored to support their journey as they grow, compete, and chase their full potential."

This year's camp will take place in Southern California, beginning with the West Coast Summer Tune-Up tournament on July 5-6 followed by NCAA-certified Cali-Live Summer Showcase from July 9-11.

"We believe in young athletes who dream beyond borders," said Jennifer Jimenez, Vice President/COO of Sun Chlorella USA. "We're honored to support their journey as they grow, compete, and chase their full potential."

Three GLOBALLERS have earned scholarships to top U.S. basketball schools. Leon Shingo (2022 US camp) received a scholarship to attend St. John Bosco in Bellflower, CA; Cayman Tsuneoka (2023 US camp) received one to attend Crespi Carmelite High School in Encino, CA; and Keiji Koshi (2024 US camp) received one to attend Concordia Lutheran Schools in Omaha, NE. These achievements highlight the life-changing opportunities GLOBALLERS provides young athletes.

"Join us on this year's GLOBALLERS journey and get to know the talented stars who made it to the top," added Jimenez.
