PlayMakar Inc. Issued Notice of Allowance for Massage Tool Head Technology by USPTO

FORT WORTH, Texas (Business Press Room) April 27, 2023 -- PlayMakar Inc., a leading designer and innovator of sports recovery and fitness devices is pleased to announce that it has received several Notices of Allowance (NOA) from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Company expects several utility patents to be awarded in 4-6 weeks. Patent includes, but is not limited to, an impact tip system for percussion massagers that allows users to interchange massage heads based on user attributes and targeted customization goals including recovery or performance phase, and clinical application.

Handheld percussive massage treatment has gained popularity in recent years, for both therapeutic use and in sports practice with the goal of increasing flexibility and performance but there are almost no options available for users to control the level of myofascial impact with percussion devices on the market. PlayMakar’s new technology in theory could enhance user experience and reduce the risk of bruising, muscle strain and potential for Rhabdomyolysis when using myofascial release tools.

PlayMakar plans to unveil the first of a series of selectable massage heads, early Q4 of 2023 including its “ShocAir™ Impact Progression Massage Heads with air transfer capability, available for both the MVP+ and the MVPmini Percussion Massage Systems.

Novel design simulates the massage motion of the human thumb and comes in three distinct levels of soft, medium and hard. The unique geometry and air transfer pocket absorbs and “springs back” or reverberates the percussion stroke creating a secondary impact. “The shape’s responsiveness was designed to adapt to the unique contours of the body and the transition between muscular tissue and bony prominences,” said Frederico Vierheller, V.P of Engineering at PlayMakar Inc.”
