The TROGLOTREK pipe robot was recently improved: a fully motorized cable drum was added to the unit. This ensures the smooth operation of the extra-long 984 feet cable, preventing it from twisting and entangling.

For obvious reasons, sending a supporting crew of technicians to work on inspection projects is not cost-effective. Labor is expensive these days, and work that just one operator can do means savings.

The TROGLOTREK pipe robot now comes with a new fully motorized drum, which helps to make inspections truly hassle-free. The new drum maintains consistent cable tension at all stages of work, which keeps the cable from twisting and getting entangled, often halting the inspection process. One trained operator can handle the crawler with ease. Given its compact design and lightweight, the entire set can be carried by one person and transported even in a compact car.

The TROGLOTREK consists of a control unit with a cable drum, a monitor, and a robotic tractor.
The tractor is controlled by the monitor hub on top of the cable drum. The control hub has a color display, and a keyboard used to generate alphanumeric notes during the inspection. Some useful features include an inclinometer, an on-screen footage counter, and internal pressure sensors.
The drum holds a Kevlar-coated reinforced cable with a length of up to 300 meters (or 984 ft.). The steerable, motorized all-wheel drive tractor carries a high-resolution pan-and-tilt camera head.
An optional wifi module used for wireless data transfer, as well as auxiliary lights and an extension wheelset, are available as an option. Thus, the pipe tractor has been designed to inspect 4" and up pipes.
