Catrell Lawayne's new book "Silent Song" is a lyrically poetic representation of a Southern gentleman's concealed self-expression released from its confines with passion

NEW YORK, May 25, 2021 Catrell Lawayne, an actor whose admiration of the entertainment industry provided a worthwhile outlet for his energy, has completed his new book "Silent Song": a melodic compilation of poems expressing a repressed outpouring of his deepest sentiments.

As a bullied kid in the hood, Lawayne would box himself into a space comfortable to him only to dance, sing, and recite his favorite movie lines in the mirror. He saved all of his energy for the stage, which is where he'd embody a completely different character but with the same name. Channeling this bottled up performance for his art allowed a charming torrent of deeply layered poems to release from their metaphorical cage.

Published by Page Publishing, Catrell Lawayne's poetic tale has freed his soul as if he were "a caged bird with clipped wings where the song to sing is a cage of power awaiting to be free."

Lawayne's African-American culture is as visible in his complexion as his poems are an expression of his innermost emotions on paper. He's the soul speaker and the subtle singer. All he does is high frequency. Gravity is not his teacher. He said to step wide so your dreams can meet you. Live before you die, be more than just a dreamer. Overcoming the judgement received for being petrified of the world as opposed to the societal perception of a young black man, Lawayne is ready to share his poetic expression with the world.

Readers who wish to experience this uplifting work can purchase "Silent Song" at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes Store, Amazon, Google Play, or Barnes and Noble.
